WE DO MORE THAN JUST MOVE DIRT
SEGMENTAL RETAINING WALL CONSTRUCTION
Interlocking Concrete Wall units were first introduced in the 1960s. In the mid 1980s construction began incorporating geosynthetics into wall construction and larger wall heights became possible. Segmental retaining wall units are available in a variety of shapes, sizes, finishes, and interlocking mechanisms. A segmental retaining wall project is only limited by imagination, product structural capacity, and budget. Whether you are needing a retaining wall for a new look in your yard or for building a heavy structure on top of it we can get the job done right. We are a National Concrete and Masonry Association (NCMA) Certified Installer. Regardless of how big or small your next project, be sure to consider us.
Site preparation through earth moving for basements, room additions and landscaping projects: This service is used when you are going to be putting an addition on your house and you have to remove some dirt for the new footings to be poured. New Home construction would involve digging out a much larger amount of dirt for the footings to be poured and walls to be erected. Landscaping projects can sometimes involve a variety of services that we provide just to get the site prepared for your particular project. Even while the landscaping project is in progress you may need more material, or have the material you have moved to another area. No matter what stage you are in we can be there to assist you in your landscaping project.
Excavating is the removal or digging out of dirt from a defined area. When excavating you may take dirt from one area and place it somewhere else within the same job site. In some instances you may have to have the dirt removed completely from the job site by hauling it away.
Grading is used to make the ground level or evenly sloped as specified for the project. Projects will have different specifications but usually the end result will be level or evenly sloped. An example would be when the project is nearing an end the land will be graded so that sod or grass seed can be put down.
Backfilling is used after some type of hole has been created previously by excavating. Backfilling places back the correct amount of dirt or product to create the desired effect or goal. An example of backfilling would occur when the foundation of your house is complete and dirt must be put back against the foundation so that there isn’t a separation between the foundation and the start of your yard also so that the rain will drain away from you house.
Trenching is when a cut in the earth is formed approximately 6 inches wide and 3 feet deep. The trench size can vary according to the requirements of the project. An example of trenching is when you are going to be installing new electrical service to some outside location away from your home. A trench must be dug so that your electrician can run PVC or metal pipe out to the destination. Your electrical wiring will be located inside of the tubing.

This process could involve several processes mentioned above like backfilling or excavating. Each situation may be different. You may want to reroute the way water is being disbursed on your land. Over years of drainage you may have a gully or wash out that needs to filled back in with dirt and water rerouted so that it doesn’t happen again. You may even have to put in a culver pipe to aid areas like driveways.
Due to extremely heavy density and weight concrete removal requires the aid of machine equipment to break concrete into smaller, more manageable, movable pieces that can be loaded and hauled away. Usually on existing driveways and sidewalks is when this service would be used.
TREE AND STUMP REMOVAL
If you have a tree that needs to be taken down, have a tree that has fallen down and needs to be cut up and hauled away, or an old tree stump that is in the way and needs to be removed then this is the service for you. Cutting down a tree would be done with a chain saw. Removal of an old tree stump would be done with a machine attachment called a “stump grinder”. This machine will grind the stump down to where it will be far below ground level so that you can fill the hole back with dirt and have a level yard.
SNOW REMOVAL OR PLOWING
If you have too much snow and need to have some hauled away or just need a large driveway or business cleared of snow, our snow removal or Plowing service is what you want.
If you have an overgrown area on your property that has large weeds and small sapling trees that you would like to have cut down then our brush cutting service is for you. We would bring in a brush cutter which is an attachment that goes on the back of a tractor that would cut down all in its way.
Hauling basically involves moving of material from one location to another by using dump trucks or dump trailers. We can haul material like concrete, dirt, brush or wood. If you have something else then just call to see if we can assist you.
POST HOLE DIGGING
Posthole digging is as it says. A machine is used to drill into the earth a specific size hole and to a specific depth. An example would be for someone who is putting up a fence or even planting trees.
CURB GRINDING/ ASPHALT & CONCRETE PLANERS
Planers are used to remove concrete in a slow and precise manner by the motion of a planer blade. If you have a newly poured driveway, side walk, or curbing, you may need to make some alterations to the concrete in order to achieve the desire look and function of the end use. Examples would include ends of driveways where you want a smooth transition from the street to your drive way. Another example would be when handicapped accessibility is needed on the transition from the street to the side walk. These are both examples of when you would want to use the Curb Grinding Service.
